Pilcrow Foundation Children's Book Project Grant
DPL's Friends of the Library raised $400 in January from our generous patrons for the Pilcrow Foundation matching grant. We expected to receive 70 titles worth $1200, but instead received 107 children's hardback books worth $2000 from the Pilcrow Foundation, plus four additional smaller grants for health and wellness books, math and science titles, Spanish language books, and celebrations of cultural diversity and empowerment. Our heartfelt thanks to the Pilcrow Foundation, Mr. Hal Berenson & Mrs. Laura Ackerman, Dr. Bill Strawbridge & Dr. Meg Wallhagen, Syncretic Press, and Shout Mouse Press for their love and enthusiasm in supporting rural libraries. We are so grateful!
Who are we? Who is the library for? What can the library do?
